Index.me is the iOS and Android app for Croatian news publisher Index.hr. It brings together articles, breaking news, reader discussion and participation in one mobile product.
Behind that experience sits a wider set of services that are equally important to the publisher’s business - including advertising, consent management, audience measurement, analytics and app monitoring.
The challenge is keeping all of these parts working together as the editorial product, user features and third-party services continue to evolve.
Azikus is Index’s ongoing mobile development partner across iOS and Android.
We develop and maintain the core mobile news experience, including categorised feeds, article reading, galleries, video, embedded content, search, topic following and push notifications.
Reader participation is built into the app through accounts, threaded comments, reactions, sorting and reporting. The SendNews feature also allows users to submit information directly to the newsroom.
Alongside reader-facing features, we integrate and maintain the services that support Index’s digital business.
These include Google Ad Manager for advertising, Didomi for consent management, and Gemius and Dotmetrics for audience measurement, together with analytics, crash reporting and performance monitoring.
Bringing these functions into the same development and maintenance process allows the app to evolve as one product across both platforms.
Index.me gives readers one place to discover news, follow topics, join discussions and submit information.
At the same time, the app includes the advertising, consent and measurement systems needed to operate it as a digital publishing product.
With Azikus managing ongoing development, integrations and releases across iOS and Android, Index has a mobile partner able to work across both the visible reader experience and the systems supporting it.
