Project overview

Developing communication products that handle sensitive information.

Pando supports clinical communication through messaging, patient information and image sharing. Hypori provides secure mobile access and communication products for organisations with demanding requirements around identity and data handling.

Azikus works across Pando’s mobile apps and Hypori’s mobile and web products. Each workstream has its own requirements, from clinical image capture to shared mobile code and secure messaging. Across them, our engineers work within the integrations and testing processes each product depends on.

Solution

Developing new features within existing products.

For Pando, we develop and maintain the iOS and Android apps. We rebuilt the clinical camera experience to keep images captured in the app out of a user’s personal camera roll. We also work on the transition from UIKit to a modular SwiftUI architecture.

For Hypori Mobile, we are introducing Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform into the existing native apps. The migration brings client features and UI into a shared module, while virtual-machine transport and platform-specific functions such as biometrics, encryption and certificate storage remain native. The shared authentication flow supports multiple identity methods.

Azikus also works on a React and Next.js frontend for secure messaging, connected to Hypori’s backend. Alongside development, our QA engineers provide manual testing and extend Appium and TestNG automation, including tests for the shared mobile client and links to TestRail cases.

OUTCOME

Shared mobile development introduced alongside native integrations.

The Hypori Mobile module provides a common implementation for features migrated across iOS and Android, while the existing apps retain native transport and platform-specific functions. Integrating the module within those apps allows the migration to progress incrementally.

For Pando, the rebuilt camera keeps clinical images within the app’s capture flow and out of the personal camera roll, while the SwiftUI transition supports a more modular mobile architecture.

Across both engagements, Azikus combines feature development, infrastructure integration and QA to support the continued evolution of products that handle sensitive information.
